Robot Regetta

Guidelines

>	Theme:
Create an autonomous line following robot which can solve the given
path from a starting point to the end
>	Participation Rules:
		1)	Team should contain maximum of 4 members.
		2)	Registration Fee (including food) per team is Rs.200 only.
		3)	Participants should also carry their college id card
		4)	Selected candidates will be notified through e-mail
>	Task Guidelines:
		1)	This consists of 2 rounds.
		2)	Round 1: The path will be a straight line.
		3)	Round 2: The path will be a maze (as shown in the sample below)
		4)	The bot will be started off from a starting point of the path
and have to reach the destination.
		5)	Points will be awarded based on the time taken by the bot to
complete the path traversal (from starting point to end and
			back to the starting point).
>	Arena:
		1)	Dimensions: 8ft X 6ft
		2)	Different types of paths will be given for various rounds which
will be disclosed an hour before the event
		3)	A white flex will be attached on the board which contains the
			figure of the maze.
The maze will be drawn on White Flex with black lines of
			thickness 2 cm.
The maze does not contain curved lines anywhere only straight
			lines.
		4)	The maze can consist of
				>	Left or Right sharp 90 degree turns.
				>	Cross roads and perpendicular intersections.
				>	Closed loops of four similar turns
				> Sample has been shown:

				img
> Bot Specifications: - Maximum size‐ 30*30*30 cm3 & minimum size‐ 10*10*10 cm3. - The bot will be checked for size before the start of the event. The bot will be registered successfully if it meets requirements. - No major change in bot will be allowed after successful registration. - Lego kits are not allowed for the event. - Any kinds of micro‐controller, micro‐processors, Arduino, sensors (obstacle sensor, color sensors), Transmitters and Receivers can be used. This will manifest intelligence level of participants. - No overhead cameras are allowed. - A standard AC connection will be provided at the arena which can be used by team. - The bot can be powered from battery, SMPS , Wireless Connection > Rules: - Apply your brain to solve the maze by using prodigious programming and autonomous robotics concept. - The bot will be started off from a starting point of maze and given enough time to reach its destination i.e. the Finishing Point. - Lesser time taken to reach starting point will earn more scores. - If bot gets stuck at a particular point or need time out then after time out bot will incur negative points - A bot can take restart for maximum 3 times. After that the team will be disqualified. - The voltage to run bot should not exceed 24 V DC. We reserve the right to disqualify robots at any time if, in our sole opinion, we determine that they are unsafe and could damage to property or harm other people. - We reserve the right at any time and in our sole discretion, to make changes to the rules and regulations without prior notice. > For any queries : roboregetta2k17@gvpcew.ac.in > Registrations are opened. > Please make the payment to 8374490567(or). > Spot Payments are also available but Online Registration is compulsory.
